Farer Launches a New Generation of Aqua Compressor
Three new models highlight the evolution of the Aqua Compressor Endeavour with updated colours, materials and a La Joux-Perret calibre.

The original Farer Aqua Compressor Endeavour from 2017 was a surprise from the small British brand. Not only did it have an impressive 300-metre water-resistance rating, but it was also a bona fide super compressor – its caseback compressed against a gasket as water pressure increased with depth, forming a tighter seal. The latest trio in the collection add new colours to the case and dials, and most significantly, an updated movement. Overall, it’s still the super compressor that really impressed us years ago, but several upgrades have brought the collection to new heights.
The original Aqua Compressor case was stainless steel, but all are now lightweight grade 2 titanium. The natural finish remains with the black and green dials, but a new navy blue PVD coating comes with the white dial. The top surface is brushed with a polished caseback and sides, and the dimensions are 41mm in diameter and 12.5mm in height. It’s also relatively short at 45mm lug-to-lug. There’s a 2.2mm double-domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coatings, and the sapphire exhibition caseback displays the new La Joux-Perret automatic (the original had an ETA 2824-2).
The twin titanium screw-down crowns at 2 and 4 o’clock have signed bronze caps, and time is set at 2 o’clock, while the unidirectional internal rotating bezel is turned at 4 o’clock. Water resistance is rated at 300 metres, but dual crown gaskets allow for 100 metres of resistance when the crowns are unscrewed. All models come with 20mm colour-matching rubber straps.
There are three dial options for this new generation of Farer Aqua Compressor – white on the Endeavour Ocean Blue model (with the PVD blue case), green with a stamped grid pattern on the Hecla Hunter Green model and textured black on the classic Endeavour model. All dials have been upgraded to X2 Super-LumiNova, with the green dial having indices and Arabic numerals made from Lumicast (a blend of ceramic and X2 Super-LumiNova). The black dial has classic applied indices and central hands with lume inserts. The white dial has navy blue hands and indices with no lume, contrasting well against the full-lumed dial/internal bezel with a subtle wavy pattern. The seconds hand on all models has an arrowhead tip, while the internal rotating bezels match the dial colours.
Powering the new collection is the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic at the soignée standard, adjusted in four positions. It has 24 jewels, beats at 28,800vph (4Hz) and comes with a 68-hour power reserve. Functions are limited to central hours, minutes and hacking seconds (true no-date movement). Seen through the case back, it has a graphite grey coating, Côtes de Genève and a custom rotor with golden waves.
The Farer Aqua Compressor 2025 Collection retails for EUR 1,375 for the Endeavour and Hecla models, while the Endeavour Ocean Blue model is EUR 1,425. Farer also has an ongoing relationship with the Hebridean Whale and Dolphin Trust, a marine conservation charity. A portion of the profits will go to the trust with a target donation of GBP 60,000.
