The Best Watches for Life During Summer 2025
Grab your flip-flops and beach shorts, slap on some sunscreen and enjoy the summer heat with a cool watch on the wrist!

Every year, the anticipation of summer grows parallel to the rise in temperature. Days get longer, hotter, and more action-packed with outdoor activities, and the lust for some refreshing coolness increases exponentially. And like every year, watch brands tap into this fun-in-the-sun season with a range of colourful watches to match the beachy vibes of summer. So with that in mind, here are some of this year’s best watches fit for a sun-kissed summer season, and to change things up, it’s not only dive watches!
Seiko 5 Sports SKX series srpl87 & srpl89
The Seiko 5 Sports SKX series is perhaps the perfect beach-cruiser when it comes to wristwatches. The iconic design, with the crown at 4 o’clock, is still a winner in today’s world, especially considering its affordability. New for this year are the SRPL87 and SRPL89, with striking yellow and orange dials (there’s also classical blue or black available). The dials look fresh and vibrant, with large luminous markers and hands and a day-date indication. Visible through the back is Seiko’s 4R36 automatic, with a power reserve of 41 hours. Strapped to a black rubber strap with a pin buckle, they retail for a very sensible EUR 400.

Hublot big bang unico summer 2025
There’s no surprise that the latest Big Bang Unico by Hublot made this list, given its “Summer 2025” name. The combination of orange, light blue and dark blue ceramic, strapped to a light blue and white rubber strap (dark blue & orange also supplied with the watch), is surprising to say the least. Yet, it will look perfect on the boulevard of a Mediterranean beach town, or a Greek island of some sort. Powered by the openworked in-house HUB1280 Unico flyback column wheel chronograph movement, you can time your sun-hours to avoid getting burnt. It is limited to 100 pieces and comes with a price tag of EUR 32,600.

Bulgari aluminium chronograph white
The lightweight Bulgari Aluminium has long been associated with life on or around the beach, especially when clad in white rubber, like the most recent Aluminium Chronograph. It was preceded by the Automatic last year, now the chronograph, so maybe next year the GMT? The dial, bezel and segmented rubber strap are white, almost matching the light tone of the aluminium elements. Polished hands and markers tell time, with just a hint of red on the chronograph seconds hand. Power comes from the calibre BVL 381 (Sellita SW300 with Dubois-Depraz module), it’s limited to 400 pieces and retails for EUR 5,300.

rado Anatom
Rado gives its sleek and stylish Anatom a fruity punch, when it introduced three new models to the collection. The dial is given a gradient effect, from deep black on the outer perimeter to striking red, yellow or green in the centre. The dials are finished with Rado’s signature rotating anchor, applied markers & hands with Super-LumiNova, and a date window at the bottom. The case is a combination of stainless steel and high-tech ceramic, and inside beats the calibre R766, which is an evolution of the ETA 2892. Fitted to a dial-matching FKM rubber strap with a folding clasp, the trio retails for EUR 3,750 each.

Longines Legend Diver 39mm White
The Legend Diver by Longines is, well, a legendary watch. The original one was a sizeable 42mm in diameter, which might be a bit too daunting for some. So, to cater to the desire for something smaller, Longines introduced the Legend Diver 39mm in 2018. This is now dressed in crisp white, with black markers, numerals and hands on the inner rotating bezel and the main dial. The signature dual-crown set-up is of course there, as is the solid caseback with a harpoon-wielding diver. It comes on the familiar 7-row beads-of-rice bracelet with a folding clasp with a micro-adjustment system, and retails for EUR 3,750.

Not a Hublot fan by any means, but that color combo is so yummy 😋
I don’t suddenly become a guy who wears fluoro colours just because summer hits 🙄
The Longines has a new topless micro adjust clasp. Very interested.
Men don’t say “yummy.”
Longines has done a great job marketing, but I’m not a fan of the line.
Yummy
New Breitling SOH?
Someone must have paid to have these recommended. I wouldn’t be caught dead in some of that trash.
Ah so many watches and even more opinions that make watches interesting !
Hublot big bang unico summer 2025 – Not a fan either of Hublot but the colour combo is a salute to the Ford GT and does look nice the way they did it. Their price points though are laughable for the type of watch you get however.
Seiko 5 Sports SKX series srpl87 & srpl89 – still looks like a watch you buy in a department store on sale….. Would never spend $400 on this.
Bulgari aluminium chronograph white – actually looks pretty nice. Would never buy it but they did a good job on the design. The two tone on it really makes it look smart.
RADO ANATOM – colourful watches that would not have much wearability as a mainstay in your collection. I also don’t buy watches just for “summer” so this would be a no go for me. I do think the design is nice, but at that price point, not a chance in the world compared to what else that goes up against. That would need to be half the price I think for more to consider it.
Longines Legend Diver 39mm White – Love the bracelet on this one, looks really sharp. Longines is a fantastic brand for value for what you pay. However, most of their watches to me just look like watches you can buy for 1/3 the price or less, and have no real distinct differentiation that has made me pull the trigger yet on them.
